The “Be a Civilized Person on Bus” activity was started on August 5th, 2013 in Lichuan City. Xiang Hui, Deputy Party Secretary and Member of the Standing Committee of Lichaun City, Chen Peng, Deputy Mayor, and Xiao Chuanwu attended the launch ceremony. Zhang Kangming, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Lichuan City, hosted the ceremony.
Economy of Lichuan City grows rapidly. Currently, the urban area has been expanded to 15 km2, the permanent resident population has reached 150,000, and the floating population has reached 30,000, so the role and significance of urban public transportation in the social economy of Lichuan City becomes more obvious. Lichuan City plans to construct the public transportation as one important aspect of urban civilization. Therefore, Lichuan City spared no effort to promote the “Be a Civilized Person on Bus” activity, implemented reformation of public transportation system and adopted the “public vehicle under public operation” policy. In addition, drivers were encouraged to become the publicity agent of a civilized city, the messenger of the public security, and the “three zero” –zero complaint, zero traffic offence behavior and zero accident drivers. They were required to guide the citizens to wait for buses in queues, allow passengers to get off before getting on the buses and respect the old and cherish the young, and instruct the citizens to be civilized and polite in order to improve the traffic environment, increase the comprehensive qualities of the citizens and create civilized environment in the Lichuan City.
Besides the tangible benefits brought about to people of Lichuan, all the above activities and measures enabled Yangzhou Asiastar Bus Co., Ltd. (“Asiastar”) to reach a new milestone in Hubei. I witnessed this exciting moment when the 24 green and environment friendly buses (JS6921CNG) from Asiastar were driving away from the Starting Station of Lichuan Public Transportation slowly. The moment reminded me of all the hard work, earnest and perseverance contributed by Asiastar’s members from production to the delivery. Asiastar’s members had never thought about giving up whenever there was any difficulty, and finally, we realized our objective and obtained the recognition from citizens of Lichuan.
On the launching ceremony, leaders of Lichuan City spoke highly of Asiastar: “today, we give our thanks to Yangzhou Asiastar Bus Co., Ltd. for their efforts to enable people of Lichuan to enjoy the convenience brought about by the environment friendly and safe buses. We will work together to bring more benefits to citizens and public transportation of Lichuan. Yangzhou Asiastar Bus Co., Ltd. will be our permanent friend and family member.” I thought members of Asiastar would be delighted when they heard these words.
Lichuan is a new start of Asiastar. Let us work together to create a better future for Asiastar.
